La Paulée is a Burgundian harvest celebration that began during medieval times. The origins trace back to the Cistercian Monks who invited their vineyard pickers to a communal banquet at the end of the grape harvest. This celebration is still continued in Burgundy today. In recognition of the arrival of Vignette Cellars first wines from Burgundy and a bountiful harvest here in Serenbe, we invite you to attend our La Paulée de Vignette Cellars here at The Farmhouse at Serenbe on Sunday Nov 2 at 5pm. This casual affair will begin with tastings of our new Champagne and white wines from Burgundy and Sancerre, followed by a sit down family style dinner at 6:30pm featuring Chef Thaddeus seasonal cuisine and some delicious Pinot Noir selections from Burgundy followed by a dessert course and pairing.

Some of the South's favorite chefs are getting out of the kitchen and into the country for the 5th Annual Southern Chefs Potluck, a casual Sunday supper benefiting Wholesome Wave Georgia on Sunday, September 7 at 3 p.m.
Guests will dine family style with the chefs and their families on the pastoral grounds of the Inn at Serenbe. In addition to food and fellowship, the event will feature local beer, wine and cocktails created by renowned mixologists and a live auction for unforgettable culinary experiences. Last year's event raised more than $90,000 for Wholesome Wave Georgia, translating to more than $180,000 in fresh food for Georgia Nutrition Assistance Recipients and for local farmers.
Each chef will contribute a side dish along with homemade pickles, relishes and desserts to be shared. The chefs' creations will be served alongside White Oaks Pastures meats from Jim N' Nicks Bar-B-Q.
Tickets begin at $125 per person, with host level tickets available for $500 for two tickets including prime seating, a listing in the program and a signed apron from the participating chefs or $1,000 for four tickets including prime seating, a listing in the program and two signed aprons.
During the weekend of May 15 through 17, 2014, The Bascom will present one of the Southeast's premier wine and food events for the culinary pleasure of more than 650 ticketed guests. With more than 11 different events over three days, this fundraising weekend is the single largest fundraiser for The Bascom, ensuring that the unique education, exhibition and community outreach will continue for the year to come.
You will not want to miss the impromptu Wine Club! Caleb Hopkins, our resident Sommelier, will be giving a presentation on the Bordeaux wine region. He will briefly cover the history, laws, sub-regions and top producers of the area. Caleb will be joined by a co-host, Rob Preiditsch, President of Vignette Cellars, a small wine import company that only deals with a few, even smaller Bordeaux wine makers. We will be pouring both red and white Bordeaux’s and it will be a night not to miss. He will be talking about his company and giving us the inside scoop on life in Bordeaux.
